About
Thank you for taking a look at my blog site!
This blog is currently dedicated to my profession and work in the automotive industry and you can find different thoughts and ideas from my personal experience here.
About two years ago, I came to Japan to work for a small Austrian supplier company in the automotive business industry. Once in Japan, I quickly slipped into the turbulent globalize market of competition and battling for market shares.
In Austria, as a small and well-protected country, it was not easy to realize the big machine of vehicle makers; even my working area is focused on automotive software development, a quite new but flourishing business sector of the automotive industry.
Being one integer part of the business machine it is often difficult to see where the big players are moving and what is happening on the market. Many decisions and decision makers are involved, even the key goals are often very straight forward and defined. All of them are battling for market shares and profitability, and the market is tough, but which one isn’t.
The automotive industry is moving forward, in a steady pace with a quite constaA picture of myself.nt growth rate around 2-9% relating to the stock market information found widely in the internet. The automotive industry offers a variation of business fields, starting from factory assembly, mechanics, sales, testing etc. But my personal focus is targeted towards automotive electronics development in the last and upcoming years.
The big players are competing with all tools they have and are not scared to face any challenges to win the market shares. Even the market is constantly growing; the market is in many areas still conservative and also shifts directions due to nowadays globalisation. It is definitely not easy to make a high quality car with all the features a current customer demands. But facing the tension fields of the competitors, and struggling to satisfy all customer demands, providing variety and small prices, the automotive industry presents itself as a small innovation driving industry of the near future.
At the end the customer decides. Usually it is the little things and the electronics, which makes nowadays cars and future cars so interesting, comfortable, safe and economical for us. For sure, never forget to get it at a nice price!
On this blog I would like to share some of my experiences and views that I can see from both sides of the continents Europe and Japan that I am used to work with. I will try to put it up as a personal diary, writing about different issues that I have realized on a spontaneous way, or that I would find interesting.
My backgrounds are in engineering, software engineering, and I will not perhaps speak in all terms the ‘lingua franka’ of the pure business man. Hopefully my readers will forgive me on that, or correct me in bad cases. So, to wash my hands clean in the upcoming posts I have to state that for correctness, no guarantee can be given, this blog just reflects my temporarily personal impressions sought in the turbulent, but highly interesting environment. Please also respect the copyright for all posts of any person.
I am welcoming everyone to participate and share his or her personal experiences too. The automotive industry is a world wide industry, and battles are fought globally. It is very difficult to grasp all effects from one person’s point of view. Please feel free to comment and participate with your ideas. Do not hesitate to enrich this collection of ideas, visions and information.
